What is Junction11?
Junction11 is the students’ independent Radio Station. The station is run by students for students and is dedicated to the University of Reading student community, broadcasting the latest news in and around campus, whilst playing your favourite tunes.
If you fancy yourself as a radio presenter, programme manager or even a radio journalist reporting on student issues and campaigns, look no further than Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) radio station, Junction11
If you are interested in volunteering at Junction11 there are so many ways you can be involved, from journalism, reporting and presenting, joining the news team or if you prefer to be more behind the scenes, you can help with the maintaining and running of the website, production and editing or spread the word of Junction11 by joining the station’s Marketing Team. Lastly, (but by no means least) if it is just the fact that you love music, then join the Music Department and help with the stations weekly playlist.
Junction11 aims to produce a quality student radio station for the students of the University Reading to listen to and become involved with. The studio is located in The Lounge, the portacabin style building behind the Students’ Union so come and talk to us at Junction11 if you want to find out more about becoming involved or if you would like Junction11 to report on a story or event that you are running.
So tune in to listen to all the latest campus news and information, the best of local and unsigned bands and of course all the best new music. Simply log onto junction11.rusu.co.uk, where you can listen live or download the latest podcasts.
Whether you’re interested in volunteering or tuning in, make sure you get involved with Junction11 and help us develop the station.
Big J11 love x
